This brief asked students to tackle the notion of habitation and make some informed design decisions based on the needs of human occupation - What does a human NEED to live efficiently, how can we minimise waste etc. The residence must not exceed 120m2 and must contain all amenities required to live comfortably and sustainably. My research and analysis for this project went into Japanese architecture, who specialise in small scale living in high density environments.
