FIREFIGHTING
VEHICLE

This Bachelor of Engineering project's scope was to create a small-scale prototype for an unmanned fire fighting vehicle. The overall design was governed by various aims and constraints outlined in the design brief, which must be considered during the design process in order to produce a design that exceeds stakeholder requirements.

Considerations had to be made for several factors influencing the vehicles design, including:

  • Cost-effective in the initial and ongoing costs

  • Efficient in both the time it takes to reduce fire intensity, as well as water and energy usage levels

  • Reliable in long term usage with minimal risk of failure or malfunction

  • Replicable product that can be upscaled, and promptly manufactured and distributed across all Tree Sky Resorts locations, without sacrificing structural integrity or quality

  • Minimal environmental impacts
